A leather 'cruelty free' embossed journal with handmade cotton paper; 100% tree-free. Size: 5" x 7"The leather is embellished with hand embossing and a band secures the flap. All the Leather used is "cruelty free", which means leather is obtained from naturally dead animals. Livestock has a lot of agricultural and household value for the vegetarian population in this region (Rajasthan, India) which makes it economically unwise to kill animals for their skin. Artisans collect cotton waste and turn it into pulp creating a richly textured paper which is then bound into these journals. The leather is cherry brown and the paper is white. 5"x7"
